Hey, did anyone get this working? I too need a WYSIWYG editor for the text areas in the BuddyPress profiles. I will comment out the latter (or delete it entirely once i have it all working) To make it SAVE that data into my xprofile field which by default is this I realize it’s duplicating… that’s fine… what i need to know is… Here’s what i’ve got in my theme file in theme>buddypress>members>single>profile>edit.php īp_the_profile_field_input_name, 'listingeditor', $settings = array('textarea_name' => post_content) ) ?> I have an editor working… sort of… it doesn’t save… and i know it’s one little tiny bit i’m missing here… just not sure what. Hi again… hoping for a tiny bit of direction… They have to attend the basic instructions of how to blog, to be able to use the field I need made. I already have a member approval mechanism installed. They were drag and drop fields with the ability to accept code. The Ning sites had pages for members like such. This is why I’m wondering if the multisite is a better fit, harder, but better fit for what I want to offer. Besides, the rapid cart code won’t work unless a shortcode is made by adding the script to the widget area and then shortcode for it in the field. The field should look similar to a blog post editor or text widget. I’m aware of the spammer risks.been there, done that. All the code is clean and safe, no other code will be allowed. Their stores on has a widget per seller where they can add a rapid cart, shopping window or a collection. I teach them how to be a merchant more effectively. My network is a bunch of baby boomers selling crafts. Site is still in tweeking mode.but you can take a peek if you choose: If the mod adding a wysiwyg front end editor on profiles for BP is easier, then how to? In any case, I need a hand or advice on the mod versus moving to multisite. I only have about.147gb of server space so I will eventually have to move it over to a dedicated server(heard that sucks) I wondered if it would be better to run buddypress on WordPress MS(mulitsite) install instead. I don’t have a dedicated server yet or the skills to run a cpanel on limited help from my host. Now, I am still learning php, brand spanking new at it, but still, learning the basics. Each profile info page has your typical fields I have created: facebook url, twitter id, website, about me, etc…but I need to give them an html field where they can add a small snippet of script. I need a visual editor, wysiwyg editor if you will for the member profiles on my buddypress site. I have been searching hard and long for a plugin with no avail.
